All PALMA Eyewear have been tested by Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) and meet the requirements of AS/NZS1067:2016 for the relevant category for general purpose sunglasses.

The categories relevant to PALMA Eyewear are detailed below:
Non Polarised Category 1:
Light tint sunglasses or Fashion spectacles;
Limited protection against sunglare;
Some UV protection;
Not suitable for driving at night or under dull light conditions.
Polarised Filter Category 2:
General Purpose Sunglasses;
Good Protection against sunglare;
Good UV protection;
Not suitable for driving at night or under dull light conditions.
Polarised Filter Category 3:
General Purpose Sunglasses;
High protection against sunglare;
Good UV protection;
Not suitable for driving at night or under dull light conditions.
Please note that our sunglasses are:
Not for direct observation of the sun;
Not for protection against artificial light sources e.g. solaria;
Not for use as eye protection against mechanical impact hazards.
